CHILDREN´S ORTHODONTICS

Before starting the treatment, a study is conducted to observe the defect your child presents and the structure of their mouth in order to apply the treatment that best suits the child to correct the issue. Once the study is complete and a diagnosis and plan are established, the children's orthodontics are placed to align the teeth or correct the bite. Regular check-ups are scheduled to monitor progress and adjust the aligners as the treatment progresses. Once the treatment is complete, the appliances are removed, and fixed retainers are placed to ensure the results are long-lasting. A check-up will be conducted every six months to ensure that the teeth remain aligned in the correct position.

They are made up of different parts, such as a metal arch that applies force to the teeth, the bracket that directs the orientation of the teeth as they move, and the ligature that connects the arch and the bracket to apply force to the teeth.
• Aesthetic braces are a type of fixed orthodontics made with materials that are less noticeable than metal braces, providing a more aesthetic appearance during treatment.
• Children's orthodontics can sometimes be a concern because it may not look very attractive since it involves appliances on the teeth. Therefore, there is the option to use invisible orthodontics, an innovative treatment that helps correct the problem without anyone noticing.
• Interceptive orthodontics is an orthodontic treatment that aims to guide the growth of the jaw to a proper position to ensure the correct development of the jaw and maxillary bone. It is recommended to use this technique during childhood because it is more effective as the teeth are still developing.

The main advantage of children's orthodontics is that it is more effective than conventional adult orthodontics, as the teeth are still in the growth process and have not fully developed, making it easier to modify their position and correct the bite.
