Teeth Whitening

There are basically two types of teeth whitening:

• LED Lamp Whitening: This technique is performed in a single session using products that whiten and remineralize the teeth. We are less fond of this technique, as it dehydrates the tooth and causes more sensitivity.
• Whitening with Trays: This treatment involves the use of custom-made trays for each patient and a whitening gel. It is a slower process, lasting several sessions, and the results are progressively visible. We prefer this treatment as the tooth undergoes less dehydration, resulting in less sensitivity.

Teeth whitening is a treatment that belongs to the field of aesthetic dentistry.

Before the procedure, a thorough examination is conducted to create a detailed study of each patient, determining the treatment that best suits their needs. After the study is completed, the teeth whitening process begins by applying the most suitable technique. Once the session is finished, to maintain the results in the long term, the patient must use custom-made trays, apply a whitening gel, and undergo annual check-ups.
