BRACES

What are braces?

Braces orthodontics is an effective method for correcting various dental issues, such as incorrect tooth alignment.

Braces are an orthodontic technique designed to correct improper tooth positioning by placing dental appliances. This type of orthodontics is fixed, attached to the surface of the teeth, and cannot be removed until the treatment is complete.

We answer your questions

Braces are a highly effective solution for various issues, such as crowded or spaced teeth, bite problems that can cause pain when chewing, incorrect positioning of a tooth, or dental wear.

  • Metal braces are an orthodontic treatment known for the durability of the appliances. Since they are made of metal, they are harder and more compact, making them less likely to break and providing better control over tooth movements.
  • Ceramic or porcelain braces are a type of orthodontics known for their aesthetic improvement. They mimic the color of natural tooth enamel, making them less noticeable than traditional braces.
  • Sapphire braces are a type of orthodontics made from monocrystalline sapphire, making them transparent. This allows them to reflect the natural color of the teeth, making them more discreet.
  • Lingual braces are an orthodontic technique where the appliances are placed on the inside of the teeth, making them invisible from the outside and unnoticed by others.

At David Madrid, a dental clinic in Valencia, we have a team of professionals with years of experience in orthodontics and offer high-quality braces to ensure flawless results in every patient's teeth and smile.

First, a study is conducted on the patient to observe the issue, the structure of their teeth, and to make a proper diagnosis. The study includes photographs of both the exterior and interior of the mouth, 2D and 3D X-rays of the mouth, and a bite analysis. After completing the study and diagnosing the patient's specific case, the appliances are placed to begin treatment. Once the braces are in place, the alignment of the teeth and the correction of the bite begin, which will be achieved by aligning both the upper and lower arches. Once the necessary corrections are made, the appliances are removed and a fixed retainer is placed to ensure the results are long-lasting.

The duration of this treatment varies depending on the complexity of each individual case but generally lasts between one and three years.

The main benefits of using this type of orthodontics are that the retention appliances we place offer excellent comfort for the patient. Made from materials like metal or ceramic, they are very durable. Additionally, the effectiveness of this orthodontic method ensures the expected results with great precision.
